Chapter Board Listing At a previous District meeting we had a request to display all the Chapter Board Members for all chapters. The reason being is so that we would increase communication between chapters officers. This will also allow (as an example) for a treasurer of one chapter (or any of the board members) to communicate with another officer on another chapter board. The list is attached for your use. Update: A few Chapter officers have asked that we not display some of the personal information on this listing. Due to this all info was removed except the name of Chapter, the name of the board member, the office held and an email listing. Anyone wishing to have their email address removed or changed to a generic listing please let me know. anthony.stencel@sbcglobal.net We hope this change will take care of the original need yet help with privacy issues. ELECTIONS FOR THE GREAT LAKES DISTRICT
It
is time for the Great Lakes District to receive nominations and
elect our next District Director and District Manager.
I have just recently received the necessary information and forms
from HQ to allow us to begin this process. At the bottom of this
announcement are the links to the District Director Candidate
Nomination Application and the District Manager Candidate Nomination
Application. Also the Election Procedures document. Each current
Chapter President is on the Nominating and Election Committee.
All interested parties for either position
must complete the appropriate personal data form and can also attached
an additional 1 page write-up on themselves and what they feel they
would bring to the position. These should be forwarded to me, as the
committee chairperson, so that I can distribute them to all committee
members. I would like to have all applications no later than August 6th,
so we can begin reviewing them. Once we review the applications, I will
ask the committee to send me there specific questions for the
candidates. I will forward a list of questions to each candidate and
supply their answers to the entire committee. This will ensure that we
all have the same information to work with. My goal is to wrap up the
election by the end of August as our final decision for District
Director and District Manager is due to APICS by September 15, 2010.
This will give us plenty of time to make a decision on these important
positions.
We will be conducting this election via
email and possibly a district conference call. This has been done in the
past and has worked well. Please feel free to contact me you have any
questions. I will be on vacation from July 16 – July 28 but will try to
answer email at least once a day during this period.
Best Regards,
